Her research concentrates primarily on transnational economic regulation, European and international law, and legal transformations. She has specialized in risk regulation, in particular with regard to food and biotechnology. Her doctoral thesis, she analyzed socio-economic implications of regulatory reform prompted by EU enlargement for agricultural and food production in Central and Eastern Europe, specifically in Poland.

At Stockholm University, apart from continuing her previous strands of research, she will engage in an analysis of the constitutional and systemic consequences of the regulatory responses to the euro crisis, and the way it is affecting the foundations of the European Economic Constitution.
