Public International Law (PIL)

Course description

The course is examined through the case study, the mock negotiation/moot court and a written exam. The exam will have two parts: One part with brief, fact-oriented questions (15pts) and one part with problem oriented questions (50pts). For the first part, no books will be allowed, whereas for the second part, course literature, source materials are permitted including the student’s notes in these materials. In other words: Alternative 1 of the examination regulations applies to the first part and alternative 4 to the second part.
Please note that the grading is anonymous, as far as possible. Each student will receive a code, to be used on the written case studies and the written exam.

The maximum score is as follows:
Case study, written paper 15 pts
Case study, oral presentation 10 pts
Mock negotiation/moot court 10 pts
Written exam, fact-oriented questions 15 pts
Written exam, problem-oriented questions 50 pts
TOTAL 100 pts

Swedish grade:
B= 50-65
Ba= 66-80
AB= 81-100

A= 91-100
B= 81-90
C= 72-80
D= 66-71
E= 50-65
